Dr. Dean Forman – Founder, Leader, and Advocate for Classical Education

Dr. Forman has dedicated his career to financial services and education, bringing over four decades of expertise in employee benefits, retirement, and estate planning. He earned his undergraduate degree in Family Financial Planning and Counseling from Brigham Young University, followed by a Master’s in Retirement and Estate Planning from the College for Financial Planning.

He later obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Constitutional Law from George Wythe University. As a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, he has helped individuals and businesses navigate complex financial decisions through his family-owned firm, Prospero Benefits Group, based in Roseville, California.

Beyond his financial career, Dr. Forman has been a passionate advocate for education, serving in multiple leadership roles. He was elected to the Roseville Joint Union High School District Governing Board from 2000 to 2004, serving as its President in 2003-04. He later served as a Board Member and President of CORE Academy, a charter school in Placer County, from 2006 to 2009. His most significant educational contribution has been as the Founder and Board Chairman of John Adams Academies, Inc., a network of charter schools dedicated to an American Classical Leadership Education®. Under his leadership, the academies have grown into a respected institution emphasizing classical learning, character formation, and civic responsibility.

Dr. Forman’s extensive background in financial planning, governance, and school administration continues to be instrumental in addressing challenges related to finance, facilities, and institutional management in the charter school sector. He is deeply committed to fostering an educational environment that inspires students to become principled leaders.

In addition to his professional and educational contributions, Dr. Forman actively promotes classical education principles through his blog, Leading a Revolution in Education, where he shares insights on truth, virtue, and wisdom. His dedication to education and civic leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including the George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms Foundation in 2012 and the Distinguished Service Award from the BYU Alumni Association in 2013. Whether through his financial expertise or his work in education, Dr. Forman remains steadfast in his mission to empower individuals and strengthen communities through knowledge and leadership.
